Time to explore new directions for U.S. climate policy

The probability of cap and trade seems very low.   The stand-up economist argues for a new direction.  He suggests carbon taxes at the state level.  That seems like a good application of federalism.  Perhaps policy aimed at climate mitigation should be pursued as well.  Finally, I think we’re going to have live with a warmer climate and more CO2.   A full out carbon rollback just doesn’t have present an obvious enough danger to be reversed.
